Simply Straws is a certified B-Corp (B Corps are certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency), and a women owned business. Their products are reusable, sustainable, durable, and biodegradable, made out of materials that are BPA-free, hypoallergenic and the colors are non-toxic.
Not only their straws are green. The sleeves are carefully crafted from fair-trade hemp, flax, and organic cotton. The web hosting and printing are powered by eco energy, and they use non-toxic dyes and FSC-certified 100% post-consumer recycled paper for business materials and compostable packaging.
On top of that, one percent of all proceeds goes directly to their non-profit partners, like 5Gyres, Keep Breast and Plastic Pollution Coalition.
