In 1997 Sanctuary Clothing was founded in Los Angeles by husband and wife team, Ken and Deb Polanco. With over 20 years of experience, the label has grown from master pant makers into a full women’s collection. Each collection captures the laid-back aesthetic of California, effortless attitude of New York and the adventurous spirit of the world to inspire and guide women through their 24/7 style.
Sanctuary aims to be at the forefront of the eco-movement and be a more socially and environmentally conscious lifestyle brand. The brand is committed to change and every step taken will matter:

Sanctuary also gives back by supporting non-profit organizations that empower and benefit women. The purpose is to provide ongoing support to an organization that benefits women by providing the proper resources that encourage them to pursue a safe, healthy and fulfilled life. Today, Sanctuary team members donate time outside of work as part of the #SANCTUARYGIVESBACK program. This program supports organizations benefitting women (Downtown Women’s Center, Los Angeles, Dress for Success, Los Angeles & Nationwide, Elizabeth’s House, Pasadena CA and Impacto Textile Impact Program, Mexico). Whether it´s cooking in the kitchen to providing warm meals, raising funds, participating in a marathon or donating apparel, every minute and dollar counts towards this mission to provide ongoing support to women in need.
In 2020, a mask initiative was launched, partnering with organizations and hospitals across the U.S. to donate PPE to essential workers and medical professionals. Over 250,000 masks have been donated to date.
