Born out of a Greek homeopathic pharmacy in 1996, KORRES's philosophy is rooted in the use of natural ingredients of the highest quality, skin and environmentally friendly products with clinically tested efficacy, and products that can inspire. KORRES believes in developing products based on primary and applied research on verified benefits and clinical efficacy. With their research partners, the label investigates the clinical benefits of natural ingredients in relation to skin biochemistry.

After research, KORRES identifies natural active ingredients that are skin and environmentally friendly, in order to make products with as high of a natural content as possible while still being effective and safe. All packaging communicates the exact percent of natural ingredients that are in each formula.

  • Greek Flora: Greece has bountiful endemic flora that has evolved to grow in Greece’s unique environment

  • Food: Beneficial ingredients with advanced skincare properties

  • Natural Actives: Extracts found with proven efficacy through research carried out by the KORRES Research & Development Lab

As important as it is to use the right ingredients, it is equally important to not use other ingredients. So KORRES avoids certain ingredients, such as: mineral oil, petrolatum, paraffin wax, silicones, paragons, propylene, glycol, ethanomalines and PEG´s.

Water is one of the most significant ingredients in skincare formulations. The cosmetics industry recommends the use of water with conductivity of up to 4.3 microsiemens/cm. KORRES uses USP (United States Pharmacopeia) grade water with conductivity of 0.8 microsiemens/cm, which is over 5 times more pure than what is actually required. It is even more pure than European pharmaceutical guidelines. KORRES has created their own water-purification plant within the production plant aiming to produce the highest quality water for all formulations.

KORRES´s goal is to protect and promote Greece’s natural flora and so the KORRES agriculturalists select the ideal cultivation region for each herb based on climate and soil criteria while at the same time working towards protecting endangered herbs and sustaining plant populations. The label´s certified plant [ISO 14001:2004], implements over 20 environmental management programs throughout production, packaging and storage - including water, energy and waste management 

Furthermore, KORRES is strictly against animal testing, and do not test any ingredients or products on animals, nor do they hire outside companies to do so for us at any stage in production. All tests are performed in the lab either in vitro (using synthetic skin cells) or on human volunteers under the surveillance of a dermatologist or specialty doctor, i.e. an ophthalmologist. KORRES does not sell to any countries that require animal testing, and they follow the European Union's strict legislation that bans animal testing on finished cosmetic products and their ingredients.
