Origami Organics

Origami Organics, founded by Maria Maddalena Falaschi, is an Italian brand for babies from 0 to 24 months with apparel made from milk fiber and organic cotton. Origami was born with the aim of creating clothes that are good for our children, putting first their health and their future which means that the social and environmental aspects of production cannot be overlooked. The fabrics used are natural, eco-friendly and rich in beneficial properties that can take care of your child's skin, respecting the environment and the people who make it. The clothes are characterized by a minimal and baby-oriented design, offering the greatest possible comfort to your baby. This is the reason why all possible stress factors connected with clothes, such as labels, are eliminated, while supporting the need for movement and functionality that all stages of the baby’s growth require.

The love for our babies also means taking good care of the planet they will live in. The use of milk fiber allows for the production of eco-friendly items of clothing, with a low environmental impact. Milk fiber is made from casein that is obtained from dairy waste (always following strict production standards) and its production is completely chemical-free. Milk fiber is part of regenerated protein fibers, i.e. artificial fibers produced from non-fibrous proteins of animal or vegetable origin. Using milk fiber also allows for considerable water saving: in order to produce a kilo of milk fiber less than 2 liters of water are needed. Milk fiber is light, hypoallergenic, antibacterial and breathable, it guarantees a rapid absorption of sweat, leaving the body fresh and dry thanks to its thermoregulatory properties. The milk’s amino acids that remain inside the fiber itself take care of the skin, even the most delicate, by nourishing and hydrating it. The cotton used by Origami is organic or recycled, cultivated without using toxic pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Compared to conventional cotton, organic cotton is safer both for people working in the manufacturing sector and for consumers. The production and dyeing of the fabrics are entrusted to a Tuscan company that boasts many years in the study and development of innovative, sustainable and organic fabrics. The organic cotton and milk fiber fabrics used by Origami are OEKO-TEX® certified. Furthermore, Origami strives to ensure that the use of chemicals in the production process are avoided by choosing eco friendly materials, with European certifications.
