Ombre Claire
Ombre Claire, committed to an ethical, equitable approach from one end of the manufacturing to the other, is an artistic universe featuring a line of contemporary jewelry for men and women. Designer Aude Durou dreams up new creations, which are then brought to life by Tuareg artisan metalworkers in Niger and Mali. Each season bring s a new collection drawing on both Saharan-inspired patterns and Aude´s personal influences. Ombre Claire prides itself in the handling of the smallest detail, the carving of exquisite shapes and the careful selection of materials. Elegance is recreated in the materials used, in the understanding of shared know-how and in the respect enjoyed by everyone involved in the adventure.
Ombre Claire is committed to an ethical, equitable approach from one end of the manufacturing chain to the other. The jewelry is designed in Paris and produced with recycled 999 silver and bronze, as well as ebony and acacia wood, by artisan works in Niger and Mali. The vermeil, or silver-gilding, is also done in Paris and the chains, cords and boxes are carefully selected from trusted suppliers. The jewelry is then assembled by hand in the workshop called La Diligence in Paris.
