Imse Vimse
ImseVimse’s head office is based in the Swedish city of Visby, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but the business is expanding throughout the world. It provides healthy, environmentally friendly and affordable textile products for women and children worldwide. ImseVimse was founded in 1988 born out of a need when one of the founder´s daughters got diaper rash from wearing disposable diapers. After she started to use cloth diapers, the problem disappeared.
From the start ImseVimse’s products were marketed on the basis of their benefits to the environment and health. Their aim is to be the most environmentally friendly company in the industry. Its product range and designs develop continuously as the products are refined, tested and improved to meet the needs of families today. Not only are products developed that add value to the current generation, but also to coming generations.
ImseVimse poses strict demands on suppliers and manufacturers, and carry out annual checks on the conditions in their factories. The company also requires that they meet ImseVimse´s quality standards, environmental requirements and working conditions. The aim is that products should meet the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for textiles.
The environmental impact is minimized by offering functional and reusable textile products, that are continuously tested and improved in order to enhance performance, quality, and durability.
ImseVimse develops and sources high-quality materials from around the world. Only organically cultivated cotton is used to produce pure products. Production takes place mainly in Europe, primarily in Latvia, but also in Turkey, among others.
